Quick Take
Kamino seeks a Senior Frontend Engineer to own and evolve their webapp, working with React 19, TypeScript, and TanStack Start. 🏢 About Kamino
Kamino is building the credit and liquidity engine for tokenized assets, aiming to make every asset investable and borrowable. It is the largest credit protocol on Solana and the largest credit platform for real-world assets onchain, with over $650 billion in cumulative transaction volume.
🎯 The Role
We are looking for a senior engineer to own and evolve the Kamino webapp — a modern React 19 / TypeScript / TanStack Start application. You will work with on-chain data, building interfaces where a rounding error or a stale value has real financial consequences. Our frontend is the surface billions of dollars flow through every day.
🛠️ Tech Stack
React 19 · TypeScript · Vite · TanStack Start · TanStack Query · Zustand · Tailwind v4 · @solana/kit · Vitest · Cypress · Playwright · Biome
💼 What You'll Do
- Build and ship features across lend/borrow, leverage, vaults liquidity, swap/limit orders, and portfolio
- Model complex server state with React Query and client state with Zustand, managing subscriptions, re-renders, and cache invalidation
- Work on the wallet layer: bridging Solana wallet adapters into @solana/kit signing flow, including batch signing and multisig
- Keep the app fast and correct under live data — positions whose LTV and leverage update on every oracle price tick, transaction previews reflecting simulated outcomes
- Translate Figma designs to pixel-perfect UI using Tailwind v4 and the design system
- Write meaningful tests: Vitest unit tests and Cypress/Playwright E2E flows
✅ What You'll Need
- 5+ years building production frontend with deep React and TypeScript expertise
- Strong grasp of modern React data-flow
- Strong understanding of Big-O notation and algorithmic efficiency in day-to-day code
- Meticulous about detail — notices a 2px misalignment and wrong numerical precision
- Comfort in a large, layered codebase and judgment to keep it clean
- Product sense to reason about what users need to see for safe financial decisions
🌟 Nice to Have
- Background in fintech, trading, or any domain where numeric correctness is non-negotiable
- Built or contributed to a design system or component library
- Experience with real-time data (WebSocket subscriptions, optimistic updates) and performance profiling
- Open-source contributions
- Interest in blockchain and DeFi
- Experience with Solana or other blockchains — wallet adapters, transaction building, RPC, oracles
