🎯 The Role

HTTPie is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer for a fully remote position. In this role, you will build and refine core application workflows across HTTPie for Web and Desktop, as well as the company's website and interactive documentation. You will turn complex HTTP concepts into elegant, intuitive, and responsive UI components.

💼 What You'll Do

• Build high-polish user interfaces featuring drag-and-drop, inline syntax highlighting, and keyboard navigation
• Scale the architecture across web and desktop platforms using React, TypeScript, and Electron
• Maintain performance budgets to keep app interactions instantaneous and reliable
• Participate in product and design discussions to define intuitive developer user experiences
• Collaborate asynchronously with a globally distributed engineering team

✅ What You'll Need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong frontend depth
• Strong proficiency in modern React, TypeScript, and single-page application architectures
• Solid understanding of web fundamentals, HTTP protocols, and REST API conventions
• Experience or strong interest in building native-feeling desktop web apps via Electron
• High attention to design details, micro-interactions, and developer usability

🌟 Nice to Have

• Prior experience building open-source projects or developer-centric tooling
• Experience working with WebSockets, local-first architectures, or offline client sync
