About the Role

We are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Frontend Engineer to take a leading role in the development of our high-traffic, consumer-facing web applications. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for architecting scalable frontend systems, meticulously optimizing performance to cater to a vast global user base, and providing mentorship to junior engineering talent. The ideal candidate will be a Next.js and React expert, possessing a deep understanding that exceptional frontend engineering is a harmonious blend of intuitive UI, robust state management, and seamless backend integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Lead the design and implementation of complex, responsive consumer-facing features utilizing Next.js and React.js.
• State Management: Architect efficient data flow patterns, leveraging Redux and Redux Toolkit (RTK) to effectively manage intricate application states.
• Performance Optimization: Implement industry-leading Core Web Vitals best practices, including Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and advanced caching strategies to ensure optimal performance.
• API Integration: Collaborate closely with backend teams to design and consume RESTful APIs, guaranteeing efficient data fetching and comprehensive error handling.
• Full-stack Collaboration: Utilize Node.js for middle-tier logic and interface with MySQL databases when necessary, effectively bridging the gap between frontend and backend systems.
• Code Quality: Establish and uphold high standards for clean, maintainable code through rigorous code reviews, comprehensive unit testing, and thorough documentation.

Requirements

• Experience: 3–5 years of dedicated experience in front-end development.
• Modern Web Proficiency: Strong proficiency in modern web development technologies, including React (with Hooks, Context API, and functional components), HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Web Services: Experience with web services technologies such as REST, GraphQL, JSON, and HTTP.
• Software Engineering Principles: Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and practical experience in test-driven development (TDD).
• Design Patterns: A good understanding of design patterns and best practices in front-end development.
• Collaboration: A great team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
• Development Practices: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, peer code reviews, and unit testing.
• Expert React & Next.js: 5+ years of professional experience specifically with React, leveraging Next.js for production-grade consumer applications.
• State Management: Deep proficiency in Redux and Redux Toolkit (RTK).
• Modern JavaScript/CSS: Expert-level JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and advanced CSS techniques (e.g., Tailwind, Styled Components, or SASS).
• Backend Familiarity: Strong working knowledge of Node.js and experience querying/structuring data in MySQL.
• API Design: Proven experience working with REST Endpoints and asynchronous request handling.
• Language: Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

Professional Experience

• Consumer-Facing Experience: A proven track record of building applications that serve thousands (or millions) of users, with a strong focus on exceptional User Experience (UX) and accessibility (a11y).
• Tooling: Proficiency with Git, build tools like Webpack/Vite, and experience with CI/CD pipelines, including tools like Drone CI, Argo CD, and Feature Flag systems.
• Testing: Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library.
