🎯 The Role

Backbase is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer for its Customer Services engineering team based in Hyderabad. In this client-facing and product-focused engineering role, you will take lead ownership of integrating the Backbase Engagement Banking platform into complex enterprise banking environments. You will implement custom frontend extensions, craft high-touch motion and interaction designs, and partner closely with core R&D teams to translate field insights into product capabilities.

• RESTful APIs, Single-Page Application (SPA) integration

💼 What You'll Do

• Spearhead frontend implementations, seamlessly embedding Backbase platform modules into customer ecosystems
• Build high-caliber UI/UX flows incorporating modern interaction paradigms, motion design, and responsive layouts
• Maintain high code quality benchmarks across evolving, rapidly deployed client codebases
• Collaborate with developers, UX designers, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to align implementation goals
• Signal emerging customer requirements directly to core R&D teams to influence future product releases
• Participate in occasional short-term on-site customer workshops and architecture discovery sessions

✅ What You'll Need

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep specialization in frontend architectures
• Strong proficiency in modern Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, and reactive programming with RxJS
• Solid command of semantic HTML5, CSS3/Sass, and responsive styling frameworks like Bootstrap
• Proven ability to navigate complex customer integration scenarios with speed and architectural discipline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset

🌟 Nice to Have

• Experience building applications in fintech, digital banking, or regulated financial services
• Familiarity with enterprise single-sign-on (SSO), OAuth2, and micro-frontend integrations
• Experience designing micro-animations and transition states to enhance user engagement
