🎯 The Role

As a Senior Front-End Developer at Charles River, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering modern, intuitive, and high-quality web applications for their digital laboratory ecosystem. This remote role in India involves partnering with cross-functional teams to transform user needs into elegant, performant, and scalable interfaces. You will leverage contemporary JavaScript frameworks, apply exceptional UI/UX sensibility, and contribute creatively to product innovation, directly advancing the mission of improving global health.

💼 What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end applications using modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers, and back-end teams to create responsive, accessible, and user-centered interfaces.
• Contribute to user journeys, prototypes, and interaction models to enhance overall product usability.
• Provide thoughtful input on technical approaches, architectural considerations, and continuous improvement.
• Work independently to drive tasks from concept to completion, balancing creativity with technical rigor.
• Ensure code quality through best practices in maintainability, performance, and accessibility.
• Integrate effectively with RESTful APIs and collaborate with back-end system teams.

✅ What You'll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in front-end development.
• Deep knowledge of component-based architecture, modern state management patterns, responsive layouts, and high-performance front-end engineering.
• Demonstrated strength in UI/UX development, including usability, interaction design, and visual design fundamentals.
• Proven ability to translate concepts, wireframes, and mockups into polished end-user experiences.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API concepts, JSON data handling, and authentication/authorization fundamentals.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive deliverables with minimal oversight.
• Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Direct experience with Svelte / SvelteKit will be considered a significant advantage.
