🎯 The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Dr. Martens in Bengaluru, you will help shape customer-facing digital experiences for millions of global shoppers. You will engineer responsive user interfaces, collaborate with cross-functional product and design teams, and drive continuous improvements across web performance, usability, accessibility, and mobile-first retail experiences.

💼 What You'll Do

• Build, test, and maintain responsive, high-performance web interfaces across Dr. Martens digital commerce properties.
• Develop reusable UI components and patterns documented in Storybook.
• Integrate frontend client applications with RESTful APIs, headless commerce endpoints, and third-party services.
• Optimize web applications for maximum load speed, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, and cross-browser reliability.
• Partner with UX/UI designers, product managers, and QA engineers to turn design concepts into production-ready web features.
• Incorporate tracking, analytics (GA4), and SEO best practices to ensure optimal discoverability and consumer insight.

✅ What You'll Need

• 4+ years of professional experience in frontend engineering and responsive web development.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern layout techniques.
• Solid experience developing web applications with Next.js and building isolated components with Storybook.
• Demonstrated expertise in responsive design and mobile-first web architecture.
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs and asynchronous data flows.
• Good understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG), Core Web Vitals, and on-page SEO.
• Experience with Git version control and working in an Agile development environment.
