🎯 The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Product Delivery team in Bengaluru, you will help design, implement, and maintain customer-facing features for Sage's core SaaS applications. Working in a hybrid model (3 days in office), you will partner closely with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers to translate complex business workflows into fast, responsive, and accessible user interfaces while providing technical mentorship across the squad.

💼 What You'll Do

• Lead the end-to-end frontend development of scalable web application features for international SaaS customers.
• Construct virtualized, high-throughput enterprise data grids with custom cell renderers and server-side row models.
• Implement robust client caching, async state handling, and resilient error recovery using TanStack Query and state machines.
• Surface AI-assisted experiences such as streaming in-app copilots, contextual suggestions, and natural-language interactions.
• Enforce frontend code quality, conduct thorough pull request reviews, and mentor engineers across the team.
• Drive performance profiling, bundle splitting, off-main-thread compute with Web Workers, and adherence to WCAG accessibility.

✅ What You'll Need

• 7+ years of hands-on frontend software development experience building scalable, enterprise web platforms.
• Deep mastery of React and modern strict TypeScript, including asynchronous patterns and rendering optimization.
• Strong foundation in web standards: HTML5, CSS3, browser runtime mechanics, and accessible UI patterns.
• Proven track record with modern state management (TanStack Query, Redux Toolkit) and complex data grid architectures.
• Experience establishing automated testing suites using Vitest/Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright for E2E validation.
• Familiarity with modern build tooling (Vite, Webpack, monorepos) and continuous integration pipelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and a collaborative, ownership-driven mindset.

🌟 Nice to Have

• Domain experience in fintech, ERP, accounting, budgeting, or spreadsheet-like data modeling.
• Familiarity with client-side encryption (Web Crypto / AES-GCM) or rich-text/formula editors (Lexical, Slate).
• Hands-on experience with Real User Monitoring (New Relic, web-vitals) and performance budgets.
