🎯 The Role

The Equities Engineering group powers Citadel's Fundamental Equities business, designing the platform through which investment analysts and sector specialists research global public companies, evaluate risk models, and execute trading strategies. As a Product Frontend Engineer, you will own the end-to-end user interface and product experience for a dedicated equities vertical, partnering directly with portfolio managers and research teams to deliver fast, reliable decision-making tools.

💼 What You'll Do

• Own the complete lifecycle of investor-facing web applications from requirements discovery to production deployment and iterative refinement.
• Partner directly with equities traders, sector research analysts, and risk teams to turn complex financial workflows into streamlined user interfaces.
• Develop data-intensive, highly responsive frontend architectures that process and render substantial market data feeds smoothly.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to prioritize features, define product vision, and validate design concepts.
• Maintain rigorous engineering practices through comprehensive automated testing, performance profiling, and maintainable component design.

✅ What You'll Need

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience specializing in frontend web application development.
• Deep expertise in modern React and TypeScript, including advanced component patterns, custom hooks, and state architecture.
• Demonstrated background in shipping production-grade, data-driven interfaces that handle heavy datasets or real-time workflows.
• Strong product intuition with the ability to balance code quality, execution velocity, and end-user requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field.
