🎯 The Role

As a Principal Engineer – Web, you will serve as a hands-on technical authority steering frontend architecture, engineering standards, and web strategy. You will take full technical ownership of major web applications and platforms from initial product scoping through technical design, implementation, and global production rollout. In this position, you will tackle intricate frontend challenges around scalability, modern rendering patterns, and performance while mentoring senior talent across the engineering organization.

💼 What You'll Do

• Architect and construct high-throughput web applications and e-commerce platforms from the ground up.
• Take complete technical ownership across all phases of the product lifecycle: technical specs, architecture, development, automated testing, deployment, and real-time monitoring.
• Build clean, robust UI solutions utilizing React, Next.js, Angular, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Champion modern rendering architectures (SSR, CSR, SSG, hydration), frontend resilience, and security.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and DevOps to deliver reliable customer-facing features.
• Coach and mentor senior frontend engineers, fostering technical growth and raising the team's engineering quality bar.
• Identify architectural bottlenecks and technical debt, proactively driving continuous modernization and reliability improvements.

✅ What You'll Need

• 7+ years of substantial software engineering experience focusing on modern, high-scale web platforms.
• Deep hands-on expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript fundamentals.
• Solid working familiarity with Angular and Node.js environments.
• Thorough grasp of browser internals, modern rendering mechanisms (SSR, SSG, CSR), hydration, and state management.
• Demonstrated success driving Core Web Vitals, web performance tuning, accessibility, and client-side observability.
• Proven system design and web architecture acumen with a track record of building and launching platforms from scratch.
• Experience establishing CI/CD automation and production release workflows.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities to operate with Principal / SDE-4 level autonomy and organizational influence.
