🎯 The Role
As a Lead Platform Engineer, you will lead frontend platform initiatives that help all frontend work move faster without compromising quality. This is a hands-on builder and owner role focused on accelerating Lighthouse’s migration from Ember to React, strengthening the design system, and improving the tooling, education, and guardrails that help engineers and AI agents produce high-quality frontend code.

💼 What You'll Do
- Lead frontend platform initiatives to accelerate migration from Ember to React
- Strengthen the design system and improve tooling, education, and guardrails
- Own AI-assisted frontend tooling and improve the frontend harness for safe contributions
- Set direction for important initiatives, turning broad goals into actionable plans
- Establish foundations for generative UI using trusted design-system components

- Senior-level frontend engineering experience
- Strong professional experience with React and TypeScript
- Expert fluency with at least one AI development tool
- Strong project-management habits to organize work and communicate progress
- Comfortable working beyond application code (shared tooling, cloud infrastructure, delivery pipelines)
- Clear communication and trusted relationships with product teams
- Pragmatic, product-minded, and able to defend frontend best practices
