🎯 The Role

As a Lead Frontend Engineer at Wishlink, you will be a hands-on engineering leader, actively building and writing production code across Wishlink's consumer-facing products, including their React Native shopping app, creator app, and internal web dashboards. This role involves driving frontend architecture, optimizing performance for video-heavy UIs, and elevating engineering standards within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Backend/Services: Firebase

• Native: Kotlin (Android), Swift/Obj-C (iOS)

💼 What You'll Do

• Develop and optimize consumer-facing products, including React Native mobile apps and internal web dashboards.
• Build high-performance, video-heavy, reels-style UIs with smooth gesture interactions and HLS playback.
• Lead frontend architecture and developer experience, establishing patterns for state management, navigation, and API integrations, and building shared components.
• Address cross-platform challenges across iOS and Android, including debugging native modules and managing build pipelines.
• Own the end-to-end release pipeline, ensuring reliable deployments via EAS builds, OTA updates, and app store workflows.
• Elevate engineering quality through code reviews, mentorship, and setting standards for code quality, testing, and performance.

✅ What You'll Need

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, specifically building and shipping production React Native apps to both Play Store and App Store.
• Deep expertise in React Native New Architecture, JSI, and Reanimated worklets.
• Hands-on experience with Expo SDK, EAS Build, and OTA updates, including the full prebuild-to-production pipeline.
• Proven ability to profile and optimize React Native apps, focusing on FlatList virtualization, re-render reduction, Hermes profiling, and startup TTI.
• Strong understanding of platform-level metrics (app launch time, asset size, frozen frames, crash rates) and how to improve them.
• Comfortable writing and debugging native code in Kotlin (Android) and Swift/Obj-C (iOS), and navigating Gradle builds and CocoaPods.
• Demonstrated track record of improving team practices through code reviews, architectural discussions, and guiding engineers.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical trade-offs and drive alignment with product managers and designers.

• Experience building video-heavy or reels-style UIs, including analytics/attribution SDK integration or deep linking.
• Experience with design systems, shared component libraries, or internal frontend tooling to enhance developer velocity.
• Exposure to web frontend development (React.js) for internal dashboards alongside mobile app work.
