🎯 The Role
Aras is looking for an experienced Frontend Tech Lead to drive technical execution and raise the bar for engineering standards across the frontend team. This is a dual-track role: you'll write production code and lead from the front — mentoring engineers, owning the testing strategy, setting quality standards, and shaping how the team adopts AI tooling. The team builds a complex enterprise low-code platform where technical depth and practical leadership both matter.

💼 What You'll Do
- Break down features into tasks, communicate risks, and make team-level design decisions within architectural guardrails
- Deliver hands-on: implementation, daily code reviews, and unblocking engineers directly
- Define and enforce code quality standards across reviews, testing, branching, accessibility, and performance
- Establish AI-first workflows for development, testing, and documentation — and set clear usage boundaries for AI-generated output
- Own the automated testing strategy: layer boundaries, tooling selection, and a testing culture team-wide
- Mentor engineers on frontend best practices and UX quality; actively support their career growth
- Resolve developer workflow bottlenecks and drive improvements to build tooling and CI/CD pipelines
- Keep the technical debt backlog visible, prioritised, and addressed intentionally
- Provide planning input: estimates, dependencies, integration risks, and early blocker identification
- Collaborate with architects on design, constraints, feasibility, and prototyping
- Onboard new team members with technical ramp-up and codebase orientation
✅ What You'll Need
- 5+ years in frontend web development, with at least 2+ years as a formal Tech Lead
- Advanced TypeScript fluency and strong command of modern ECMAScript
- Deep understanding of Web Components, browser platform APIs, accessibility requirements, and cross-browser behaviour
- Strong grasp of software architecture patterns: OOP, SOLID, design patterns, component and event-driven architecture
- Solid experience with modern frontend frameworks and their state management approaches
- Hands-on experience with Vite, Vitest, Playwright, Storybook, and building an end-to-end frontend testing strategy
- AI-first mindset: daily practice with AI-assisted development tools and ability to set team-wide AI workflows
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build optimisation, and developer experience improvements
- Clear communication across code reviews, written documentation, and stakeholder discussions
- Comfortable in agile, self-organized team environments
