🎯 The Role
As a Frontend Engineer, you will develop the UIs of the ArangoDB open-source database and Arango Data Platform. You will work on user-centric design and deliver the best user experience to our user base of developers, database engineers, and AI/data teams.
🛠️ Tech Stack
React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, BackboneJS, jQuery, Figma, Tailwind CSS (nice-to-have), shadcn/ui (nice-to-have)
💼 What You'll Do
- Build new features for the Arango Data Platform UI and contribute to the ArangoDB UI.
- Work across graph visualization, data exploration, query tooling, and AI-powered interfaces like agent and GraphRAG dashboards.
- Modernize frontend by migrating legacy code to React and TypeScript.
- Partner with designers to turn Figma designs into polished, intuitive UIs.
- Take growing ownership of features from requirements to shipping.
- Collaborate with backend and AI/ML engineers to integrate APIs.
✅ What You'll Need
- 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
- Basic understanding of BackboneJS and jQuery.
- Good UX comprehension.
- Ability to work with API-based backend communication.
- Problem-solving skills in complex codebases.
- Strong communication and ownership mindset.

- Unit testing and E2E testing experience.
- Open source contribution.
