🎯 The Role

As a Front-End Web Developer on the Marketing Technology team, you will be responsible for building and optimizing DoorDash's B2B Marketing websites. This role involves owning the front-end development for marketing web properties, creating high-performance, accessible, and scalable web experiences that directly contribute to business growth. You will work at the intersection of design, technology, and marketing, translating business requirements into elegant technical solutions while balancing craft with speed.

🛠️ Tech Stack

The role requires strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with expertise in React/NextJS, and consideration for Vue.js or Angular. Experience with TypeScript and modern CSS methodologies (CSS-in-JS, CSS Modules, Tailwind) is essential. You'll work with headless CMS platforms like Contentful, deployment platforms like Vercel, and component development tools like Storybook. Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite), build tools (Webpack, Vite, Turborepo), and package managers is also expected.

💼 What You'll Do

• Develop and enhance marketing sites (e.g., merchants.doordash.com) securely, with high performance and thorough testing.
• Lead front-end web development projects from initial scoping through implementation and optimization, collaborating with Marketing, Design, Content, and Engineering teams.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices for a high-scale web environment.
• Drive front-end architecture decisions, manage component libraries, and implement performance optimization and accessibility standards (WCAG compliance).
• Optimize web pages for speed and scalability while maintaining brand consistency and design fidelity.
• Integrate with CMS platforms like Contentful to ensure seamless content management.
• Implement responsive, mobile-first designs across all devices and browsers.
• Work with Marketing teams to implement tracking and analytics code for user behavior measurement.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor other developers on best practices and emerging web technologies.
• Collaborate with Product and Strategy teams to define technical requirements and deliver business outcomes.
• Identify and implement improvements to the codebase, including performance, accessibility, and developer experience.
• Stay updated with web technologies and frameworks, bringing innovative ideas to enhance marketing websites.

✅ What You'll Need

• 3-6 years of professional front-end web development experience, preferably supporting marketing or growth teams.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+), with expertise in React/NextJS (Vue.js or Angular also considered).
• Experience with TypeScript and modern CSS methodologies (CSS-in-JS, CSS Modules, Tailwind, or similar).
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and experience building inclusive web experiences.
• Experience with modern deployment (Vercel preferred) and headless CMS platforms (Contentful preferred), and Storybook.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite a plus), build tools (Webpack, Vite, Turborepo), and package managers.
• Proven track record in managing technical debt and leading system modernization.
• Experience with lead generation form architecture, including validation, routing, API integrations, and bot prevention.
• Experience implementing web analytics, data layer management, and tag management (Google Tag Manager a plus).
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization and SEO technical fundamentals.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience contributing to team execution processes like sprints, Jira, and documentation.
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
